The paint stripper has been breaking down the polymers in the paint for 30 or so minutes. Its causing it to turn yellow.

Here is a completely refreshed look to tired infested black algae gutters and fascia. What a transformation. Literally looking like new.

Here we see black algae colonising the white plastic of the gutters, fascia and soffits. This doesn't do good for the looks of the house and habours a breeding ground for mould and mildew.

Due to gutters building up with moss and fallen dry mortar from the roof tiles then the rain water can overflow and leave a residue of black dried dirt on the lower edging of the bottom of the guttering on the outer edge.

An amazing result with using superheated water and controlled pressure then applying a strong chemical treatment to inhibit re-growth of black algae.

What a change. A very happy customer that informed me of the changes continuing to brighten and become lighter each day as the treatment continues to work.

Softwashing was used to clean the walls around the house without the need of using a more 'aggressive' hard application of pressure washing. Applying biocide and waiting patiently for it to do its job in killing the organic colonisation of black algae and then washing it away with brushing and water from a garden hose.

Here we see the Momcouche render a lot cleaner than before. The main house has the original monocouche render which is of a cream colour whist the extension to the right has a new white colour render that do not match perfectly. However, the offending black streaks of algae are removed so the softwashing process and treatment accomplished the desired goal.  

Here is the start of a softwashing treatment on a monocouche render. There is a build up of at least 10 years a black algae. the customer had recently had the right side extension covered with new render although the colour match is not exact. 

Render Clean

Mossy and full of black algae, here we see the patio missing its vibrant colour and good looks. Added to this is the hazard of moss and algae when wet with the risk of slipping over. Although this might only cause a slight embarrassment to yourself with friends watching potentially this can result in a broken hip to an elderly person.

Lots of moss, algae and lichen needed to be removed from this patio. The elderly customer was also rightly worried about the new protentional slip risks on wet and damp days.

Here we see the application of a biocide to be left for 30 minutes - 1 hour to work and kill off the organic growth and break up the filament roots of moss. The black algae dissolves and the lichen is softened.

Vibrant colours popping out with all its glory. This is what the customer desired when originally having the block paving installed and again it can be enjoyed. This required another rinse and on another day kiln-dried sand was carefully brushed into the joints.

This block paving was treated with a biocide to kill the moss, algae, lichen and mould. Then with superheated water it was pressure washed; rinsed and a new application of kiln dried sand carefully brushed into each and every joint.

Red and grey and brown blocks can now be seen. The surface is non-slippy and safe to walk upon.

Drying out nicely. After the pressure wash and rinse we double check for any missed areas and make absolutely sure to give our customers the full experience of a CLEAN block paved patio.

Now able to sit outside with a cup of tea in hand enjoying the fresh air and admiring the colours in the blocks. Peace of mind for the customer and their adult children knowing the owner is safe in the garden area.

The look of the roof is positively changing

A beautifully clean roof but notice the customer didn't opt for the cleaning of the bay tiles.

Superheated water with a 'controlled' pressure used on the roof. This is carefully used so as to remove the moss, algae and lichen but no excessive pressure used.

A very effective way to achieve an imminent cleaning result.

This roof was approximately 40 years old. Over that time it had been painted with a terracotta red tile paint and years later with a black paint. The roof was clean of moss and algae and lichen and even a lot of the old paint was now removed. Treatment was also applied to the roof with a biocide.

Only cold water 'controlled' pressure washing was used around the 'Velux' windows as superheated water can crack glass. Use an experienced roof cleaning contractor.

No standing on the tiles are necessary. Tower scaffold and long reach lances work effectively. 

Long reach pole and flat surface attachment does the job.

The one man tower scaffold is effective for narrow gaps of the side of houses and bungalows as well as normal positioning. Its good that our operatives are trained and qualified (PASMA); protecting your investment.

You can see the changes of colour with the moss being removed as well as the black algae and the terracotta red tile paint and the black tile paint. The original tile colour was actually a light tan.

Garage roof with a thin manmade tile. This should not be pressure washed. Moss scraping resolves the problem. Some customers desire a treatment of a biocide but on this type of tile a treatment of biocide can cause the tile to turn whiter which some customers do not like.

On this roof there was moss, algae and lichen. 

This Lower roof after the clean showed the customers two different types of colours of their tiles. Thankfully they were already aware of this and were elated about the results of cleanliness of the tiles. 

This customer required their front of house lower roof to be cleaned. Access was from the ground. A superheated controlled pressure wash was used and thereafter a treatment of a biocide.

The removal of motor oil needs to be worked on carefully and responsibly so as not to discolour the driveway and create a worse problem. Here the chemical is being agitated and scrubbed into the affected area where motor oil has stained the blocks. The results were amazing!

To the majority of the driveway the cleaning was done days before and sanding was completed on the day of the photo. However I brought back a chemical to deal with the two separate areas of two different problems - motor oil and house paint

Both the decking and the sleepers were cleaned using hot steam and low pressure along with a treatment to sanatise then two coats of a chosen colour decking oil was applied.
