DURING: Scratch coat finished fully embedded with reinforcing mesh to stop cracking, first bit of top coat render with lime for extra elasticity and crack resistance. October 2025

DURING: Initial prep stage, no corners cut, doors/windows covered in plastic, beads glued up, RenderGrip applied for better adhesion/waterproofing, mesh in scratch coat render for strength & longevity

BEFORE: Multiple walls on this job to be rendered including two walls that had already been rendered and painted but needed rendering over. October 2025

AFTER: Two coat render applied, with RenderGrip primer, mesh reinforced scratch coat and smooth top coat with lime for flexibility.  Work area and face brickwork left clean and tide.  Bmth 08/25

DURING: In all twenty beads were used on this garden wall, the face brickwork being left exposed at the bottom, separated with stop beads.  Four custom beaded holes were made to house the new lights.

AFTER: And now the job is complete with a smooth render which includes lime for extra elasticity and extra protection against any cracking. Charminster, August 2025

DURING: New plastic beads have been fixed with pink grip adhesive, the advantage of plastic beads is that they don't rust! The scratch coat has a reinforcing mesh inside to reduce any future cracking.

DURING: Old render has now been removed and an exterior stabiliser has been applied. Charminster, August 2025

BEFORE: Client had to have a new lintel installed causing damage to existing render and as existing finish was poor they decided to remove all old render back to the cable. Charminster, August 2025

Rendering Jobs

During: This bay window was previously uninsulated, leaving the room exposed to the elements, the existing lathe and plaster was removed and insulation was added prior to plasterboarding. Bournemouth 

After - The bay window has now been plasterered along with the rest of the room, leaving a room that is cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. Bournemouth - October 2025

Before: Someone had previously used polystyrene backed wall paper to warm up his wall but it hadn't worked, so we advised removing the lathe and plaster and adding insulation to the studwork behind. 

During: The old lathe and plaster has been removed and celotex insulation has been added to the studwork. Southbourne - December 2024

After: The bay window wall has now been plastered and is ready for decorating, leaving a much more energy efficient room for the customers to enjoy. Southbourne - December 2024

BEFORE: Having had the tiles removed this kitchens walls were left badly damaged an uneven, so we advised floating them before plastering with bonding plaster for a better finish. Bmth - 08/25

AFTER - Having been floated and skimmed the walls were left nice and flat and even for the tiler and decorator to work with. Bmth - 08/25

BEFORE - This client had a wooden floor and furniture that she wanted to make sure was well protected, so we covered the floors in proplex protective sheets and the furniture with heavy duty plastic.

AFTER: The ceiling has been reskimmed and the floor and furniture were left dust and plaster free. Barton on Sea - April 2026

BEFORE: This hallway ceiling needed skimming & the carpets were a tradesmans nightmare as they show up the tiniest fragment of plaster. To keep them clean they were covered in carpet protector. 04/25

AFTER: Freshly plastered without a spot of dust or plaster in sight.  West Moors - 08/25

BEFORE: This job was in a very old property in the New Forest that was constructed with timber and therefore had external studwork walls rather than a brick cavity. Our job was to insulate and reskim.

BEFORE: We had also recommended over boarding the ceiling with new plasterboard, this also gave the client the opportunity to have spotlights fitted. Burley 03/26

DURING: If you zoom in you can see the insulated plasterboard that we have screwed to the existing studwork. We liaised with the supplier British Gypsum to establish the best protocol to follow. 03/26

The work carried out by Dave was excellent in every way. There were many awkward parts of the ceilings to be plastered but the finish was extremely good. Dave overcame unexpected issues with positivity and good cheer.  We cannot recommend him highly enough.

We are absolutely delighted with the work carried out by David. The plastering is very smooth and neat and David overcame unexpected difficulties cheerfully,  without extra charge and within the quoted timescale. Our home was left immaculately clean and tidy at the end of each day. We can't recommend David highly enough. A great job in every way.

I had a small amount of plastering to be done around a replacement garage door. Dave fitted it in around another local job, and it was efficiently completed in a morning.
I was very pleased with the work done and the price.

DHP have just finished the second room in our house. This required preparation, installing insulated plasterboard and skimming. Both jobs have been completed to exceptional standards. The quality of work produced is second to none and all completed in a very tidy and trustworthy manner. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend DHP to anyone looking for their plastering requirements. We will certainly use them again for any further works.
