New entrance porch roof

This was a new porch roof over the customers front door, we installed the porch kit then installed reclaimed slates and a new lead flashing to finish it off.

This chimney had issues with damp internally so we renewed the damaged flaunching and installed spinning cowls to help the chimney breath.

This bay roof was in dire need of a new roof and coping stones so we installed a new 3 layer high performance felt system with new lead flashings and new coping stones.

This job needed some chimney pots installing as they had been removed previously, not something we recommend. We then installed china mans hats to stop water getting into the chimney but allowing the chimney to breath.

This porch had rotten timbers and needed a new roof, we matched the timber cladding and installed a 3 layer felt system.

Kitchen Refurbishments

We installed this staircase into a loft conversion that we completed, we had the newel posts, spindles and handrail to match the existing staircase perfectly.

We built this decking area using sapele Hard wood, it had some intricate shapes but was a pleasure to install.

This porch had virtually fallen down and needed rebuilding, we removed all the old timber and matched it in with new timbers.

We built this radiator cover for a lovely customer of ours, we had to match some existing ones in the old cottage. This turned out great.

We installed these doors in to an existing customers property replacing old white doors. they really finished things off.

Did a neat job replacing facia around garage roof. Has done other work for us previously which has always been completed promptly and to a very good standard. This is why we go back to him

The whole job from start to finish was carried out to the highest standard and with great attention to detail. John kept us well informed throughout the process and was always professional, polite and friendly. He left the garage and surrounding patio area extremely clean and tidy and disposed of all waste materials. We would have no hesitation in highly recommending John and we would definitely use him again for any further work on our property.

I am delighted with John’s work. He has completed the cladding to a high standard and is hardworking, polite and reliable. I would highly recommend John and Ripley Developments to anyone needing any work done outside or inside their property. 

Cladding on the front of house. 

Tiled roof circa 1907 in conservation area needed substantial repairs with  lead flashing.   Much work needed on decomposing cement and chimney brickwork and replacing chimneys that had been improperly removed way back in the past and had not been properly covered.    John Ripley provided photographic evidence,  clear estimates of work and a schedule that included scaffolding provided by an excellent scaffolder.    At conclusion of work, scaffolding removed within two days.   All building debris neatly removed as work progressed.   A really professional efficient job.

Damp upstairs ceiling indicated problems with roof and chimney above it.    

We highly recommend John Ripley and his team of friendly and professional workers. Had our bathroom totally refigured to include a large walk-in shower. It was an absolute pleasure to have them all in our home. The standard of work is exceptional and all areas were left neat and tidy every day. John also has a very good relationship with suppliers which is so helpful when choosing products and accessories. 

Bathroom/Shower Room Replacement 

Our roof was covered in moss and constantly shedding enough to regularly fill our gutters. We also suspected there were some tiles and chimney areas that needed attention. John had helped our local sports club with all sorts of maintenance so I asked him to survey our roof and quote. We accepted and he kept us informed of his other commitments until start date for us. Busy man -good sign. Everything about him was professional and customer oriented talking us through the job, start to finish. Highly recommended.
