Increase the fall by installing timber firings- it works!

Sometimes a complete new frame is needed to overcome ponding.

Using tongue and grooved adds strength to the new decking 

Marking where the rafters beneath are running will ensure a secure key for the new firings 

The rain water continues in the same path as the lead valley towards the gutter.

This one was lowered to a safer height as it was considered unsafe . The chimney pots were removed and natural slates were used to form a base for capping off the chambers . 

This one was bowing outward. It was dismantled entirely and rebuilt. The band was reinstated keeping it’s original feature. 

New clay cowels were added to keep out the elements including bird nesting.

Old cornice gutters can be awkward to repair once the original lead starts tearing.
Lining in rubber is a great alternative option. It yields well the shape of the stone work .

Plastisol coated edge trims secure the membrane well. Note the anthracite colour matching the window frames. 

Extending the rubber membrane right down to the lower stone ledge adds significant protection to the art stones beneath.

Mini flow gutters are less overpowering on a bay which was originally designed with an internal outlet that was concealed from ground floor level.

Large bay roofs may need external gutters to avoid dampening the bricks / stone work beneath.

The base of this valley has many folds and twists. It was lined with EPDM rubber.

I would recommend Rubber roofs ( Gateshead) who have done a much needed job waterproofing our garage roof this week - including replacing a wooden lintel (rotted) with a cement one. Reliable, prompt, explained what needed, did a thorough job including making good other problems which came to light without charging extra on top of the original quote. Tidied up after.

Great service from Charles and team when we had a problem with our gutter and the original installer had gone into liquidation, leaving us without a warranty. Quick, tidy repair. Kept informed of the work and the cost.  Would definitely recommend for a local Gateshead service.

I had some issues with poor upkeep of my slate roof, there were missing tiles, gaps and the ridge needed repainting. 

Back in August Charles and his team came out and gave a reasonable quote.

A couple weeks later they came out to carry out the repairs, they did discover a split in my flat roof above my kitchen whoch they repaired for an additional yet still reasonably extra cost. 

Couldn't recommend them enough!

Slate roof repairs

Afte we had a leak in a flat roofed extension Rubberoofs came and fixed and renewed the roof in about 11 days or our initial contact. They kept us posted about when the materials would arrive and when the work would take place and kept to that schedule.
We were given a detailed quote for the job including  some additional necessary adjoining repairs and renewals which we knew were needed after  years of wear and tear but most  builders who advertise no job too small, considered too small to do for us. Completion photos were provided
They worked efficiently, neatly and quietly. Very satisfied

Courteous, professional, and trustworthy. As a client we were kept fully up to speed with what was happening. The work is top quality and very neat. Highly recommend.
