Socket above worktop incorrectly feeding twin socket on top of wall units to oven and microwave

Socket outlet feeding the oven and microwave mounted on top of the kitchen unit. The customer had no idea it was there to isolate in an emergency. The 1.5mm flex supplying the socket was buried in the wall to the nearest socket of the 32 amp ring main as per the picture.

Loose connections caused this shower pull switch to literally burn to pieces. Luckily there was enough slack t cut 12 inches off each leg and re terminate

Nota deal of thought for future maintenance? Wouldn't fancy replacing this C/U 

The switch wire for this landing light was found to be fed using 4 core low voltage instrument cable twisted together

A botched attempt to wire up a central heating Y plan, saving a few pounds by not investing in a wiring centre

Incorrect batteries used for conventional Fire Alarm panel. Found these welded together

Removal of old consumer unit revealed the shabby installation methods used to install the electrical and fire alarm cables in this 6 bed HMO

No Main earth to Old rewireable C/U from service fuse

This visit turned into a full rewire. The property has been tenanted for the past 20 years

This Economy 7 Horstmann timer for the immersion really had gone out with a bang. The terminal block had completely melted 

This rats nest is feeding quite a large chip and kebab shop

Not so much electrical... But it did make me smile whilst carrying out the EICR

The flex is feeding a shower pump off the heating system

Smoke detector in a student property all taped up and standby battery removed

1.5mm flex connected directly out of the socket which is fed from a 32 amp circuit breaker. No grommet in the hole and bare conductors showing. It was found to be feeding a 3.5Kw oven and microwave

OOOPS. Someone forgot to connect the main protective bonding conductor to the incoming water service.

Just don't have enough space to write what's wrong here 

Had to cut a hatch in the kitchen ceiling to reveal this connection point to all the kitchen power. All spiders legs of a radial 2.5mm fed off a 32 amp breaker

Electric Shower Replacement

We needed some electrical works completing ahead of damp treatment in our front room. Tim clearly expained what needed doing and also gave us options we hadn't thought about including extra plug sockets. Tim liaised with our damp surveyor to make sure everything went smoothly, and  also replaced the outside security light  which we'd been meaning to do for a while.  Tim completed all the works very efficiently and its clear he has a high level of expertise and professionalism ensuring everything he does is safe and compliant. Highly recommended and would use again for all things electric.

Right from the start Tim proved himself to be efficient and reliable. From phoning him he was round in a couple of hours and was then able to start work the following week. His quotes all seemed very reasonable. In addition Tim was realistic about which of my "dream" projects were achievable and gave good advice on fittings, bulbs etc. He completed all the work in a timely manner, and kept me well informed throughout. I would definitely recommend Tim for any electrical work and will be using him again in future!

Tim replaced 2 central light fittings with 8 recessed ceiling spotlights. Really good quality work, quick responses and a very professional electrician. I would highly recommend.

LED light installation

Really pleased to have found Tim - he was absolutely the right person for the job. Very impressive knowledge of everything electrical and did a fabulous job getting my bathroom cabinets and all their electric work spot on with minimal fuss. Really pleased with the care taken to get the job just right. Reliable and quick communication put my mind at ease. Happily answered all my questions and gave good advice. Even took the packaging to the tip saving me a job! Left things tidy. Would definitely recommend Tim's services and would use again myself.
