  Avoid Damp Stop

  We had damp in the wall of a ground floor room. Rising damp was diagnosed, and Damp Stop covered the rear wall with a damp proof treatment, and injected a new dpc in December of last year. We were then away until mid March, and there was still damp in the wall, so we contacted Damp Stop, as they had given us a 10 year guarantee. Since then, I have called them countless times, and had virtually no response. They called round once, giving an hour's notice, but as we were out, we missed them. Their guarantee is worthless, and if this is the sort of outfit that Checkatrade approves...
