  Safety check / EICR certificate

  This company / Andy is superb. He was thorough in the work he carried out on both visits. When testing safety on his first visit, he found that there was a circuit break in part of the house, and arranged another visit to investigate and rectify it. During his second visit, he found the cause of the curcuit break amd fixed the issue. He also updated two pairs of wall sockets, which wasn't entirely straightforward due to the foundation in those sections of wall being weak. Nevertheless, he improvised by changing the socket positions on the walls, making subsequent work by painters a straightforward process. Upon finishing the work on the second visit, he sent me an updated EICR certificate. I'm unfamiliar with electrical matters, but Andy made me feel at ease with the work carried out because of his knowledge, reliability and professionalism. I have peace of mind re. the electrics in my house now. I would highly recommend this company.

  I'm very pleased with the service provided by this company. There was an initial visit to the property by Simon, who assessed the walls for size and condition to determine required materials and labour costs. He didn't even need to be asked to put something over his footwear before entering the house. He arrived with such coverings. Once I decided to proceed with this company, a time frame was agreed. I told Simon I would buy the paints once he told me the amounts and type needed for each room. The walls in all rooms of a 3-bedroom house and ceilings in two rooms were filled/repaired, sanded, and painted with two coats. Furthermore, skirting boards were painted. Without my request for the hatch to the loft to be painted, Simon offered to do this as well, at no additional cost. The work was done the way I hoped it would, over the course of two days (including laying out materials, tidying and packing materials away). I would use Painting & Decorating World again because the team is knowledgeable, arrived on time on both days, and completed the work to the required standard well within the agreed timeframe.
