Power Construction LTD
10 Quality work, well priced
Posted 3 days ago
I used Power Construction to do some light carpentry jobs, painting work, and minor electrical fixes. I needed these done urgently and in one day. He got the job done and I am happy with the results. He keeps a tidy site while working - and you can see he takes pride in his work by how well organised his van is - might not mean much to some, but it's a good indicator in my book!Verified reviewerJob location: SW20Knowhow Decorating Services Ltd
5 House painting and minor works
Posted 29 February 2024
I used Knowhow to paint my flat. Painting was good so I asked them to fit a new mantelpiece. It didn't go well: wall was not straight/level but rather than consult me on how it should be placed they ended up not centring it properly meaning that it sits c6MM offset on the media wall (at eye line level) despite using lasers. When things go wrong, that's when you see who your builder really is - they initially accepted my viewpoint but then backtracked/wouldn't fix. Find someone else if you want precision. Their painter (best guy they have) is retiring shortly. Expensive for what they are.Verified reviewerJob location: SW20Pure Decorating and Plastering
1.5 House Painting Nightmare
Posted 18 January 2024
Hired Pure (Charlie Valentine) to paint a 3-bed. 30% unfinished leaving me seriously out of pocket. Charlie might be ok for very small jobs, but he got overwhelmed on mine; underestimated the work (said 3 weeks but after 6 weeks I had enough); demanded money before due. Poor timekeeping and works very short hours (9/930 to 230/3 + breaks). I offered 10% over his fixed quote to speed up but he went off on other jobs. Has not supplied invoices for >£700 of materials paid for.Verified reviewerJob location: SW20Ogis Builders Ltd
2.5 Plastering of 3 Bedroom Flat
Posted 02 January 2024
I hired Ogis to plaster a 3 bed flat in Raynes Park. Unfortunately the work carried out is far below an acceptable standard. Plaster work undertaken by Ogis himself (the owner) was ok but his colleagues made a mess of my kitchen, hallway, and living room. Despite some remedial work by Ogis, the end results have been described by multiple visiting tradesmen as 'the worst plastering job' they have ever seen. I pointed out the hugely uneven surfaces in the kitchen to Ogis, he replied "I didn't know you wanted the walls to be straight and level". Will be taking Ogis to the small claims court.Verified reviewerJob location: SW20
