    Hedge trimming

    Posted 30 August 2024

Trimmed hedge neatly, all as requested. Awkward location of hedge near a greenhouse and flower bed but managed well with no damage to nearby plants

    Disappointing response

    Posted 12 January 2022

Mr Makin had done work previously on our chimney/roof but problem persisted. Said he was happy to review and advise. “Forgot” to come on arranged day. Came next day to check attic but roof too icy so said would return later that day or next day. Would have been nice if said not interested. Has rung after a couple of days and informed me he has been away for a few days.

Waterproof a leaking asbestos garage roof

    Posted 03 August 2018

Asked to repair or replace a leaking asbestos roof. Wayne inspected the roof, said it “wasn’t too bad” and said a clean and 2 coats of acrypol would sort it out. After a long dry period it rained- leaks worse. Other builders looking at the roof say the pressure wash would have made it worse and it is obvious the roof needs replacing which Wayne should have known. Hugely overcharged for the work done . Unable to contact Wayne- no reply to emails or phone, ignoring letters

New path to front door needed for elderly father’s wheelchair

    Posted 26 June 2018

Initially pleased- left glowing review. Within 4 months the edging bricks became loose , moving away from the rest of the path. Sand has been used for “grouting “ - washing away. Can pick up and hold some of the edging bricks now . No response from Wayne asking him to take a look or to give us a repair date.
