  Fitted new boiler at short notice after old one was unexpectedly condemned.

  Alan and Ricky were able to attend at short notice and were well-informed, informative and friendly. They carried out the work and made good with a minimum of mess or intrusion, stayed late to get everything done and cleared up thoroughly. The boiler installation appears to have been done very efficiently, they got over an early problem of an extended run for the flue and explained and helped with the control app. I would definitely use Walsh Solutions again, though I hope the new boiler will last well into the future. Very efficient all round and, based on other estimates, good value.

  Building a bookcase across a living room wall

  Wayne (Huddle) was meticulous in his work and I was pleased with the bookcase he built to my specification. He completed the job faster than expected (three days) and was very personable, friendly and considerate. The only pity was that the painter to whom he had hoped to subcontract the finishing of the shelves turned out not to be available for several months, so I would have to finish that part of the work myself. The shelving was left ready for painting apart from filling the screwholes and it was all done to a generally high standard. I’d happily use Wayne next time I need a carpenter.

  Daniel Beach and his team did a really good job for us and we were delighted with his attitude and the quality of the work. He was able to fit in the job fairly soon after my initial enquiry, which others could not, and although I know the materials had increased in price considerably since his quote he didn’t cut corners and clearly took a pride in doing a good job, making sound suggestions along the way but always aiming to provide what we wanted. He worked hard to get everything finished within the week and stayed late to get things just right. We would certainly use his services again.

  Very pleased, efficient carpenter, worked in difficult conditions but cheerful demeanour, did exactly what he was asked to do, cleaned up afterwards, would recommend.
