  Bedroom redecorated

  When I advertised the job Dan came round and gave me a quote to strip the wallpaper, apply various products to improve the surface of the walls prior to painting, and then emulsion the walls and ceiling, and gloss the woodwork. It was a very fair quote and I was happy to accept it. But I live in a hundred year old house that was thrown together before the builders went broke and so the plaster on the walls is awful. Dan was not happy with how the paint was going on and said he wouldn't accept that in his own home, so he suggested putting lining paper on before he emulsioned. I am thrilled with the end result and so glad I went along with his suggestion. I'm definitely asking him to come back and decorate the other bedroom. He's the loveliest thing man you could wish to meet.
