  A Problem Solved Very Efficiently

  I had a problem with the lock on my double glazed sliding external front door which is more than 30 years old. I contacted Harry online and he called me within a matter of minutes to discuss the problem. He offered to visit the following day but I was unavailable, so an appointment was made for him to visit a few days later. He arrived at the agreed time. The cause of the problem was found, he quoted a very fair price and a new part was fitted. Harry is friendly and personable and is very good at what he does. I shall use him again if the need arises and I'm happy to recommend him.

  Investigate Water Escape

  Dave Jenkins attended as an Emergency Plumber on behalf of a third party company. He failed to correctly diagnose the problem and fitted the wrong type of ballcock valve. Two appointments were made for him to re-attend to carry out further investigations but on both occasions, he called to say he would be unable to keep the appointment. Ultimately, I had to engage another Plumber who rectified the problem swiftly and efficiently.

  Replacement of ball valve in header tank

  Lee is a very amiable and friendly chap who knows his trade very well. He was very helpful and explained everything in detail. The ball valve was replaced with a minimum of fuss and Lee made sure everything was working properly before he left. I will be using him again and would recommend him.

  Clearing a high creeping plant from a fence.

  Peter is a very pleasant and down to earth man and we had a good business relationship. He kept appointments and only charged me what he quoted originally for the job two weeks previously. He provided a written receipt for the work which I requested. I was a little concerned following his initial visit to quote for the work as the promised estimate didn't arrive and for a while, I was unable to reach him via email, Checkatrade message and SMS text message. However, Peter eventually contacted me, carried out the work the following day and did an excellent job.

  Good overall but with one concern

  I was able to arrange a visit from an Engineer the day after I contacted them by phone. He arrived as arranged and gave good advice regarding the problem with my washing machine. However, originally, I received no response following notification from Checkatrade that Autowash were interested in the job, hence the phone call a few days later. I was advised there was no trace of any contact from Checkatrade or of the e-mail I sent Autowash after no initial response.

  Replacement of external wooden door sills

  This was the second time we had used Gerry's services. It was a difficult job and took a while to organise. However, when Gerry was eventually in a position to start work, he did an excellent job. The new door sills look very nice.

  New glazed front door fitted and side panel re-glazed to existing framework.

  We were able to choose the new door and the glass with Mr. Singh's help. He kept us informed at each stage of the purchase process and then arranged a date for fitting within our desired timescale. Mr. Singh (Gerry) was very helpful and polite throughout and we are delighted with the new door and panel. Gerry's work is of a high standard and we would recommend him.

  Replacement of blown Double Glazed Unit in main door.

  Richard arrived to carry out the work within the time range agreed and the job was completed in less than an hour with no fuss. It was necessary to remove the door in order to replace the unit and Richard tested the door after putting it back in place to make sure it closed properly etc.
