  Short-notice plug socket fitting

  Was installing a new dishwasher and discovered that the previous one (installed by previous property owner) had been hardwired into the wall (😩!!!). Called Darren on a short-notice basis after great work he did here previously and he was able to come later that very day. Did a fantastic job installing a proper, efficient and safe plug socket; and did it with a great smile. What an amazing electrician he is and I cannot recommend him more highly!!

  Laying a garden walkway

  Really good experience with Joe and his mate. Undertook a really thorough survey and came back with a prompt and reasonable quote, and also set out a selection of paving tile options that fit the rest of the patio. Then on schedule a few weeks later proceeded to install the pathway over two days to an excellent standard. Really pleased with the result and would definitely recommend and use again.

  Sorted TV antenna after reception problems

  I noticed problems with my TV reception (see before picture, suggesting a faulty aerial, so I made a request for a quote via Checkatrade. This provider responded quickly and by that afternoon an engineer was inspecting, and found that the aerial needed replacement. Within 2hr, I had a brand-new and fully functioning aerial providing excellent reception to my TV. The only reason I gave this provider and 8/10 on communication is that engineer didn’t check with me before installing the new aerial. However I consider this to be a minor issue and would rate this provider. Recommended!

  Fitted new garden gate

  Really pleased with Andrew’s work: highly recommended. He responded promptly to my request and, after a prompt viewing, gave me a thorough assessment, recommending that just the gate be replaced along with a new lock. Importantly concluding that the rest of the fence was fine, rather than “over-quoting” as some people do, instilling a strong sense of trust. He gave a very reasonable offer and on the day, he and his colleague arrived and within an hour I had a very solidly built and secure garden gate with a workable two-way lock. Have asked him to quote for another landscape job.

  To install electric power to my garage that is separate from my house

  I was really impressed by Colin's work. This was a complex task because it involved coordination between Colin, UK Power Networks and my utility provider. However right the way through, Colin was really helpful and professional about the task. His quote was reasonable, he gave good advice during his initial visit and subsequently, and he proved very understanding and accommodating, especially when other parties took longer than expected. His work was always carried out promptly and to a very high standard. Highly recommended and I'll definitely use him again!

  Correct problem with Cable TV connection; correct problem with CCTV connection

  They clearly know their trade! Before the appointment, Ash took the time to gather information about the problem, e.G asking for photographs of wiring. Then when he arrived he applied a process of elimination to isolate the problem and proceeded to correct both issues to my satisfaction. He also gave recommendations to achieve better wifi connection. Overall I found this trader to be highly professional and extremely knowledgeable in the area of data wiring and a real example of why it’s important to task a specialist to jobs like this. Would definitely recommend.

  Responded to leaking radiators.

  I woke up that morning to discover that our entire central heating had shut down, due to a major leak in one of the radiator valves. After researching plumbers on Chekatrade, I contacted Paul, who arrived by 10am! I asked him to check another radiator that was also leaking slightly. After the initial assessment, he carried out the work immediately (which involved slightly reorganising his daily schedule). He replaced both faulty return valves and thermostatic radiator valves and was gone by 12. Excellent service, very courteous, and showed me how to balance the radiators.
