  Poor experience of gable end repair

  Enlisted to repair gable end that included a new mortar based verge, partial replacement of battens plus under felt and some gable-end brickwork repair. A poor experience overall with promises not kept and all aspects of the job lacking in care and skill. As examples battens are not securely nailed to rafter. Verge mortar badly cracked after 3 weeks and its finish is poor. Guttering refitted with bow in the middle so that in heavy rain there is a 2 foot wide waterfall. They will not communicate and and job is not finished after 6 weeks with waste and tools left on site.
