Drain Unblocking
Really good experience of dealing with Alan. He diagnosed the problem when speaking to him on the phone. The drain where the kitchen sink and dishwasher was blocked and needed flushing out. He arranged to come the next day. He was running late on the day of the appointment dealing with another job, but telephoned to let me know. He got on with the work and gave some advice about reducing the likelihood of it happening again.
Drain blocked/manhole cover stuck
Drain blocked/manhole cover stuck in place with mortar/jointing sand from patio work. Came within a couple of hours of my call, methodically cleared and flushed the blockage, lifted and cleaned manhole cover. Very quick and efficient work, clear explanation and left the site tidy - really first rate job.
Blocked drain clearance
Alan was very knowledgable in all things drains, found the issue pretty quickly and then continued to clear it! He was friendly yet professional, explaining everything he was doing to rectify the issue - giving me tips to stop it re blocking too. Would highly recommend!
Blocked sewage pipe
Neither Southern Water and Rapid Drains were able to fix the problem. But Alan turned up and did a fantastic job. Cleared the blockage and then went above and beyond by correcting the cause of the blockage . Excellent service and would definitely use again and recommend to anyone needing a plumber.
Ground floor flat with a blocked drain - sewage coming up into toilet and bath.
Very professional approach and has the experience and equipment to resolve a difficult situation. Alan soon worked out that the foul drain ran under the block of flats and using cameras identified which drain to clear. Alan kept me informed of progress, (as I couldn't get to the site that day), and my tenant was very relieved that the issue was resolved in good time.

Alan was incredibly efficient and very knowledgeable, liaising with Southern Water on our behalf and ensuring that we resolved our 'stink' problem the same day.
Clearing an inaccessible blocked drain
Alan was courteous and professional throughout the job which have a few curve balls and unforseen challenges but he kept me informed with regular updates throughout. All was completed in a timely manner and to an excellent standard. I will be keeping his number for the future and would have no hesitation recommending 1st Porter Call to anyone.
