    3 tradesmen responded .1 came and I didn’t feel comfortable with him in my house. One arranged to come and didn’t turn up .The other came said he would send me a quote and he didn’t

    3-way Valve and controller replacement

    What a difference experience makes... Three-way valve and controller replaced very professionally, swiftly, and with no mess, by a very knowledgeable and polite senior 24/7 technician who confirmed that the valve and its controller should have been replaced many years earlier. Valve and controller had been a perennial 'weakest link' in the system; previous visits by more junior 24/7 and BG technicians only replaced the controller when it was clear that the controller motor was working too hard (then overheating) to open the valve. In terms of value for money, the 24/7 offering is far superior

    Boiler service and subsequent replacement

    A very unhelpful and rude engineer serviced the boiler and told us that it was unsafe. With no explanations he just cut things off, including the gas fire, despite telling us that this would still work. A different engineer fitted the new boiler. He was not able to sort out the electrical side and left a box of live wires covered only by gaffer tape, with the reassurance that an electrician would be sent to fix this the next day. 4 days later with daily phone calls we're still waiting for this to be made safe, and they are denying any knowledge of it. Their customer service is appalling.

    Boiler was not working

    I was called by the tenant, that boiler is not working for some reason. Gave a call to helpline, who directly called the tenant and arranged an engineer visit. Within 3 hours, the engineer (Paul Evans) was at the door, despite bad weather. He fixed the issue with professional competence. He also noticed that annual service was due, that he also completed, without asking me, and issued gas safety certificate. Very satisfied with the service.

    Central heating and gas install

    My engineer was LIAM what an anpsolute GEM!! A BIG credit to the company he went out his way to make sure I had water most of the time big plus as I have a medical issue he worked very late on the first day to insure I got heating quickly very very CLEAN no mess at all LIam is a lovely guy and an assett to his company they owt to be proud of him and I hope to see him again next year for my annull service x
