Dishwasher pipe leaking
I called the number and a pleasant person, Marcus, answered. He understood my issue and promised to attend same day. On arrival he promptly got to the issue, sorted and helped put the dishwasher back in place. Cleaned after himself. All throughout the visit was very informative and nothing was a problem. Shower Pump Replacement
Initial symptom was wet patch in upstairs bedroom carpet. Homeserve engineer called-out, and identified problem as leaking shower-pump in adjacent Airing Cupboard. I needed the pump replaced as soon as possible - 24 Hour Emergency Plumbing and Heating wasn't first to respond to my Checkatrade request, but could do the job soonest. Plumber arrived early-afternoon the following day as arranged - work took longer than he expected but was done well at very reasonable cost. Leak from kitchen ceiling and dripping toilet, replacement of taps, extractor fan and radiator dial.
They contacted me promptly. When some problems persisted after they left, they returned promptly to make necessary adjustments. From the offset, they were honest and reliable. They could have taken advantage, making up unnecessary jobs to make extra money, but they didn't. They only did the needed and necessary work. No additional requested jobs were too small. They were respectful to my elderly mother. I think they forgot to clear some rubble after work, but mostly left things tidy. I should have got a plasterer to re-plaster the ceiling after their work.
