Paul Barnard has been in the flooring industry for over 30 years and has worked all aspects from the shop floor, superstore management and many years of floor laying.
Barnard Flooring Ltd is a family run business and we pride ourselves on our personal one to one service and customer care from start to finish, giving you a stress free floor buying experience. We are based in Haywards Heath and cover all surrounding areas (excluding somarea’s of Brighton and Hove) to offer every type of flooring including;

We offer a free no obligation estimate service, and have over 2000 samples to choose from in the comfort of your own home. Appointments can be made at a time and date to suit you (including evenings).
We undertake all aspects of floor preparation including uplifting and disposing of existing floors, hard boarding, plywood and screeding of sub floors. We can also move furniture and stain guard your new carpets.
Our prices are highly competitive against both large and small retail outlets, with no hidden surcharges.
All our work is fully guaranteed and insured.
Barnard Flooring Ltd are completely committed to reducing our own Carbon footprint as such we have now switched our carpet underlays to Springbond which is 85% recycled plastic bottles and 15% 1 use plastics, it comes in 9mm and 11mm qualities. It also has the highest noise reducing properties of any underlay on the market. We also use Tredaire 11mm Sapphire PU underlay which contains recycled foams for the ultimate in luxury, comfort and durability.

TO FIT NEW CARPET AND UNDERLAY DOWN THE STAIRS AND ALONG TOP LANDING. ALSO TO INSTALL VINYL FLOORIN
PAUL CAME TO INSTALL NEW VINYL FLOORING IN OUR REFURBISHED BATHROOM AND TO LAY NEW CARPETS DOWN THE STAIRS AND ALONG TOP LANDING. IT WAS A FULL DAYS WORK CARRIED OUT VERY WELL BY PAUL WHO WAS NURSING A SHOULDER INJURY. WE ARE VERY PLEASED WITH THE END RESULT WHICH WAS CARRIED OUT DILIGENTLY AND WITH MUCH CARE AND ATTENTION TO DETAIL.I WILL DEFINITELY USE PAUL AGAIN.
Removal of old carpet on one date and then laying hall, stairway and landing carpets a week later.
Barnard Flooring had many samples of carpets for us to peruse so choosing the right carpet was relatively easy. The removal and the laying of the carpet was executed without fuss and the transformation very, very pleasing. This is the second occasion we have used Barnard Flooring and I'm sure that in the future we will use the company again. I strongly recommend their work ethos and their competitive price structure.
Lifting carpet and re-laying part in another room
Paul and Emma provided a great service with real energy and skill. Lifted an existing carpet and Gripperrods and re-layed part of the carpet with a new underlay in another room. Both parts of this job were completed in 1/1/4 hours. Excellent result and even a good clean-up. Hope to use this great duo again.

Engineered oak flooring throughout a 2 bed home
I can’t thank Paul and Emma enough for such a brilliant and beautiful job! It truly surpassed my expectations and has completely transformed my home! Their workmanship and professionalism is truly in a class of its own and to top it off, they’re just lovely people, who went above and beyond from start to finish. I couldn’t recommend more.
Carpeting a bedroom
Paul and his wife make a very competent and friendly duo. Though only 1 small room to carpet it had many tricky bits to negotiate being in a 16th Century cottage. All these areas were carried out with skill and the end result looks great, not least the threshold to the room which is small and very neat. I can recommend them highly.
