Wouldn't answer emails or telephone, I had to chase him and when he eventually did get in touch he arranged to turn up after 12pm. He arrived before the prearranged time and because he was early and no one was able to let him in, he had a hissy fit and accused the tenant of lying, and has refused to do the work.

I have never met this person or carried out any work for them. I arranged to do an electrical inspection and turned up 15 minutes early. I informed them I was there but received no reply. I then waited for 30 minutes and there was still no answer. I received an email several hours later saying someone was in. When I told them I had arrived early they then changed there information to say someone didn’t turn up until 12. I then told them I was there until 12:15 and no one turned up. After this they then proceeded to become abusive and I quickly realised this person obviously had issues so I didn't engage any further with them. They continued to email me saying if I replied they would consider it threatening and harassment. I didn't reply so they again emailed me and said they would send a bad review in. In 9 years with Checkatrade I have never had a bad review. This is no way to treat people. I have always prided myself on being punctual and polite. I would say to all tradespeople to avoid this person.
