This company was recommended by the builder who completed an extension for us last year. A recommendation that was spot on. The drive onto our property was in a poor condition and there were unmade sections due to the extension project. Darrell did a comprehensive assessment of what was required, this was itemised in his quotation. The work was carried out over three days, and is a quality piece of work. Darrell and his team work really well together, it was a pleasure to observe.

Just had this company excavate my very old driveway and front garden, add drainage and then Tarmac. I knew from my first meeting with Darrell that I wanted them to do the job. He listed to what I wanted and advised me the best way to do things to meet my requirements. The team, who were friendly and considerate to me and my neighbours, arrived early everyday and never stopped working till the job was fully completed. I could not be happier with the final results, it is perfect. I would 100% recommend this company to anyone requiring this type of work.

From our first chat about the project to the finishing work I cannot fault the company. All the workmen were punctual, polite and hardworking, tidying up after each day’s work. DS Halstead added extra touches to enhance the finishing work without adding to the price. They really do want to deliver the best.

We had a very thorough survey & quotation undertaken prior to any work starting. During the survey we were able to discuss various design options before committing to any work commencing onsite. The team worked diligently throughout the project meeting agreed costs & timescales. At the end of each working day the site was left clean & tidy including neighbouring properties & the public highway. Quality is everything and these guys are where it’s at. It’s always a bit daunting when picking a company to do, what I’d consider, a large project. We picked D.C. Halstead Tarmacadam and Paving from spotting a job they were working on round the corner from where we live whilst walking the dog. We kept a close eye on their progress and decided to book them after seeing the result to tarmac our decaying driveway. Long story short, these guys are professionals and really know what they’re doing. My wife works from home so she was able to watch the progress as our driveway took shape. It so
