  • Excellent service for a reasonable charge

    Two manholes at my place (in front and back garden) had quite a depth of standing water, and the kitchen sink was slow-draining and smelly. Called Ken. He turned up within the hour and located the problem within minutes: a blockage in the exit pipe from the main manhole, caused by a buildup of scale. He removed the blockage, which sorted the other manhole. He scraped scale from another problem area. He checked that waste water was running freely from every outlet. He worked fast - and his charge was very reasonable. I have no hesitation in recommending Ken - excellent all round.

    Ken was prompt and efficient and explained the issue clearly then advised on what I should keep an eye on for any further remedial action that may be required in the future. Amazing how he was able to clear the drain at such a depth below ground. Only challenge was I was not aware (probably should have thought) that he needed to park the van next to the house but luckily neighbours were in to be able to move their car.

    Ken, is old school - He is reliable, turns up when he says. Explains what he is going to do and why. Keeps everything clean during and after the job - and also completes the job. Using a cctv cable he was able to locate the blockage and with his equipment clear the blockage that was on our land. He was then able to explain that the main blockage is in the road and not our responsibility. Finally, he told us to send a letter to Thames Water, and giving his details explain the problem.

I offer a good responsive and friendly service for a reasonable price and being a small local business do not charge VAT. PLEASE read my reviews they say it instead of just me.

I, the owner and operator Ken Cattanach have worked as a Plant and Building Services engineer on piped services, drain and sewer associated works with London Transport for many years.

My associate and cousin is Dean (a human mole) who has been installing and repairing drains, cesspit, sewer pump installations for over 20 years.

We act as a team and Dean also has his own business and offers his 30 years experience, knowledge and skills in the drainage business, this keeps down our overheads and allows me NOT to charge VAT a great saving to our domestic clients.
