  Creating a skylight above our stairs

  Ross and his team were brilliant. From the start we were in great hands. It's always a bit nerve wrecking having people do work on your house but these guys were exceptional. They turned up exactly when they said they would, they tidied up after themselves, the new skylight looks amazing, they went to a lot of trouble to ensure we got the biggest one that would fit the space, they were really nice to have around and they finished when they said they would.

  Garage conversion and carport

  Ross Oben of Jaben Roofing converted a large double garage for us and built an oak double carport. The conversion involved creating a downstairs gym and playroom and raising the garage roof to create a vaulted upstairs room. I have nothing but praise for Ross and his team. The work was conducted to a very high standard, on time and within the original quote. All his team were helpful and pleasant and kept everything neat and tidy. The Building Control Inspector's words on final inspection were, "Wow, this is great, congratulations." I'm not sure contractors get much higher praise than that.

  Redoing flat roof including rebuilding upstands for lanterns, 3 layers of felt and redoing leadwork

  Very professional company from start to finish. Clear quote provided in a timely way. Flexible with regard to start date which sadly had to move several times due to problems on my side. Necessary changes to the job spec to resolve unforeseen problems (due to very poor work by a previous contractor) were identified early and solved for a reasonable additional cost. Site left clean and tidy. Everyone involved was polite and hard -working. I have employed many tradesmen over the years, including more than half a dozen roofers, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ross / Jaben roofing.

  Old, leaking garage roof removed. New, well insulated flat roof installed.

  Ross and his colleagues were punctual, worked hard throughout, tidied up well afterwards and were just generally really nice people. We are so pleased with the new roof. We've gone from a cold, draughty, leaking corrugated garage roof to a highly insulated, draught free, water tight roof. We are delighted with it.
