I had to call Tom in twice to kill and destroy a wasp nest in my loft. Both times he went up in no protective clothing, lit a smoke bomb, and came back down. This only stunned the wasps and each time they returned. I called him a third time and he said we would need scaffolding to get to them. The nest is currently covered by bubble wrap as insulation, I was happy for him to remove it but he insisted we needed scaffolding. He then asked to speak to my husband, which shows no respect for me as a woman, my husband reiterated the same thing. Now I have to get someone else in to remove it. At least I know if they’re not wearing gear, don’t expect them to do a good job.
Response from T Dunne Pest Control Services
An initial routine treatment was carried out to poison a wasp nest on the rear slope of the main roof, the location of this nest was nearly fifty feet high, the customer said that wasp nest was not visible, when entered the loft I located the roughly the position of were the could be, and I pumped a contact dust through all the insulation and bubble wrap, because the nest was hidden I may have to return and carry out a follow up, at no extra cost to the customers.
The customer called saying that the wasps had returned, so I carried out a follow up visit, on this occasion I placed a smoke generator below the suspected area which the wasp nest would be.
I had I further telephone conversation with the customers saying that wasps were still coming into the loft again, I again had to suggest that I would be able to destroy the nest if there was some scaffolding erected, the customer then suggested that I would have to pay for it, I refused, and I left the saying that I would return and poison this nest at no extra cost.
