We are sorry this job did not go to according to plan as we have worked for this client before without any issues. The problem this time was the windows were ordered as one type and then the clients building inspector requested different glass to ensure the windows met certain building regulations. We ordered this glass at a substantial cost to us and then the building inspector requested alternative testing which made the original glass suitable. The client has then refused to pay for the additional glass and also owes us £500 from the job. We have offered on many occasions to go and finish the snagging on this job once the bill for the additional glass is settled but as yet the client has failed to respond to these requests apart from to say we “are holding him to ransom”. All documentation the client and the building inspector requested was supplied by ourselves and our suppliers at a great cost of time and effort that was found to be totally unnecessary. Our stance remains that we will complete the job once the glass charges are settled.
