Mel and his team were simply brilliant. They arrived on site early every day without fail, worked non-stop, were professional and displayed expert craftsmanship. They were sympathetic to the age of the house and always tried to maintain and preserve the integrity of the building. Job location: LU2Had problems with my roof A & D turned up quoted on time professional site always left clean and tidy. Rear house re pointed excellent work carried out by Melvyn and Rob. Rear garden patio and wall constructed with steps. Decoration also carried out to wood-work. This company really give you an honest appraisal of works. Also kept up to date with costs. Have recommended Melvyn to family and friends that are based in St Albans.2 Rendering

Firstly I can only apologise to my potential customer regarding a no show to quote works. As you can see from all my past reviews, I have always kept clients updated. I did attend as requested to view the potential works, unfortunately parking was an issue as in City centre, I have a long wheel based van. I notified the customer regarding visiting arrangements problems. I requested that client forwards pictures detailing areas to be worked & quoted for. Client replied with pictures they were just seeking advice regarding property. Advice was given as requested, then next thing I hear I have a negative review. Future clients please make your own assumptions regarding negative feedback, thank you.
10 Complete Renovation of flat for rental

After an interim review, I can honestly say nothing has changed (apart from the flat being worked on). Mel has been a pleasure to work with from start to finish for this project. Excellent communication with the work being carried out, and the future stages to be completed. Photographic evidence of before/during/after so that I can see the progress being made. No messing about, the work has been done in a very timely manner and I've been guided by Mel with his wealth of experience and knowledge at every step of the way. Mel and his team worked on the cracks below a bedroom bay window in our house in November 2023 that involved removing plaster etc back to the brickwork, then plastering, finishing etc once the work was done. They were always prompt, polite and friendly, and worked really hard, and when the work proved far more structural than originally anticipated, I was impressed that Mel subcontracted a structural engineer quickly and kept me in the loop throughout the process. The company is a family run business with over 50 Years experience in the Painting Decorating & refurbishment sector. We are fully experienced in carrying out full property renovations where we will consult from inception to completion. Our services are endless and reliable from Painting, Decorating, Tiling, Plumbing, Carpentry, Electrical, Plastering , Bricklaying, Rendering , Roofing, Patios, Gas works to include full certification. All works are guaranteed after completion for full 12 months.
Our services are provided through a wide area in the Home Counties from small maintenance works to include larger projects, we work with landlords, private residential properties, commercial agents including offices or factories, Internal and external works carried out. Full house refurbishments carried out
We also provide guaranteed Damp Proofing Services by our registered contractor.
All our quotations are free of charge and submitted in writing once a full survey of works has been carried out, we also tender projects from drawings and bill of quantities. Any additional works are also made aware to the client so there is no confusion on costs at completion, so that all contracts are carried out on time and within clients budget. These duties are carried out by our in-house surveyor, who also acts as a dispute consultant within the construction industry.
Regarding any access issues to carry out works we have our personal nominated and registered Scaffolding team.
