Bad work un professional, left the aerial mast about 10 Degree lining for ward after partly loosening it and said he can not undo the aerial lashing and just left it as is, the coax cable left un secure just laying on the roof tiles

I quoted him for the works required at his property. At first he said it was too much to pay. I advised that is not a problem, the quotations are free and with no obligation. He then offered me less but for cash. I declined his offer politely. He then asked me to go ahead and I carried out the works as required. I advised that his lashing kit is a bit loose but can’t be tightened because it’s corroded. He didn’t ask for a price to renew the lash. Half way though he produced a brand new splitter that he asked me to wiring in to replace the old one, I happily did this at no extra cost. Upon completion I cleared the area, he paid me £120 in cash for a £117.60 bill. He said he didn’t want any change. I thanked him and left. At no point did I loose n anything on the roof. As the bolts were too corroded to tighten they were also to corroded to loosen, I think he was unhappy I was willing to negotiate a cash job for him from the start.
