• Ceiling repairs, Roof Leaks and Moss Clearing

  Craig and the team carried out 3 pieces of work on the building . 1. Plaster boarding, skimming & coving for hall and corridor after ceiling taken down, re baton the loft hatch and re fix light fixings. 2. Take the moss off the roof by hand. 3. Replace broken tiles on roof and fix 3 leaking sections. I am very happy with the standard of the work carried out on all aspects. Very professional & courteous, fair price, tidied up at end of each day. Made the effort to source reclaimed roof tiles of the same colour / age to fit in seamlessly. Will definitely use again and recommend.

• Replace Porch Supports with Oak Posts

  Very pleased with the end-result. Craig replaced the softwood porch supports, which were starting to rot, with oak supports. In addition, the underneath of the porch was replaced with UPVC tongue and groove boarding.

• Re-felting of garage roof.

  From the initial contact to the completion of the job, Abacus done everything that they said they would. They carried out an excellent job in a timely manner and with a fair price tag. Despite the, at times, very difficult conditions, they got on with the task in a cheerful way and tidied up beautifully when the job was done. Would thoroughly recommend Abacus.

• Bricking up a wall and cutting through another.

  Craig and his team were professional throughout their time in our house. They consistently liaised with us to ensure that the work they were carrying out was to our expectations, and they found ways to reduce the overall cost by using older bricks within our property. I highly recommend Craig and his team for all work that you need in your house. They are extremely courteous and they were a pleasure to have in our home during the work. Their quote was fair and reasonable. We will be using Craig for all future projects and work.

• Resolved issues with water not flowing properly through our French drain.

  The significant repair work was done quickly and with very little disruption. The quality of the finished work is exceptional and the whole area was thoroughly cleaned before they finished. From their first appraisal of the work required, through the quote to carry out the work and actually completing the work, Craig was honest, professional and totally open about what the issues were and what materials and labour were needed to correct them. I would highly recommend Abacus Roofing and Building.

  Could not recommend Craig any higher. If you want someone who is knowledgeable, hard working and shows care & pride in his work, you could not ask for a better team. If you keep the team fuelled with tea and biscuits you will receive the highest quality builders you could get. We don’t live near the property and we’re nervous but they were so reassuring, sent pictures of their progress and we really could trust them to do a great job! Once again couldn’t recommend them more!
