I was contacted and asked to give a coat of paint to a door and ceiling. I told the client it would take 2 hours and he agreed. I arrived on time did the job plus another the client asked me to do. After I finished the door I told the client it would probably need a second coat as it was very yellow and hadn’t been painted for years. I asked him to wait until it was dry and let me know if he thought it needed another coat. The client text me later saying he thought it needed another coat and would that be a further charge to which I said yes. I charge for small jobs on an hourly basis so if more work is needed then there will be a charge. I was perfectly courteous and tidy as always and am very insulted that the client said otherwise.
