Avoid like the plague

Called out to fix a valve. Engineer blocked a water shut-off in the process which was only discovered when client went to switch water off over winter. Engineer agreed it was in the wrong place and remedied. When asked, they agreed to refund. No refund appeared, so we queried it. The engineer had lied to management about it. Management came out with a load of poor excuses and lies then went silent. No refund as yet

We are sorry that you feel we have not lived up to our high standards of customer service. The original job was completed by a different company in the summer of 2022, which we took over the business of when it was sold in the September 2022. We agreed with our client to attend to install a new tap and pipework and remedy the positioning of the valve which the customer was not happy with. This was outside the warranty which the previous company offered, but we agreed to do it as we had been given another job at the property. When we attended, we moved the valve, however we were told on-site that we were no longer required to change the tap and pipework as the gardener would do it themselves. We therefore charged our minimum of one hour for the cancelled appointment as we were on site. It was processed against the card the client authorised with us at the time of booking the job. Our terms and conditions are available on our website, as well as on all estimates and invoices. In most cases we can work with our clients to resolve these issues

The work was carried out as planned, the engineers kept us informed of what was being done during the work. Mark, Steve and Duncan were both professional and friendly.
