Replacement of Felt Roof
Abstract Roofing replaced a flat felt-roof system in October 2023. We came home late one night shortly after the work started to find water pouring through the bedroom ceiling causing significant damage (collapsed ceilings, soaked walls & floors). On completion we were asked for payment despite standing up to our ankles in water. The CoRC advised not to pay until the damage had been repaired. Once the estimates became obvious the contractor ceased communication. We subsequently found the roof still leaked and eventually had his work completely replaced. We are suing through the SCC. Repairing leaking roof - twice . . Replace guttering and fascia
Cannot recommend. I felt taken for a fool. This was the second job I’d given Abstract Roofing. Roof still leaked. Guttering repairs cobbled together. Different type of guttering used along the back of my extension AND different sized fascia with packing used to hold narrower piece in place. Leaking roof
Mark visited our property to conduct an assessment very promptly. The fully itemised quote he then sent to us was in line with what I was expecting for the scope of this job. After we accepted his quote, he was able to schedule the work one week later. Despite encountering some additional issues he stuck to his original quote for this particular job. Whilst carrying out the work he highlighted another matter requiring attention on a different part of the roof which I confirmed was needed. He carried out the jobs in parallel. Replacement of Dormer broken tiles, rainwater pipes and soffit installation
I would recommend Abstract Roofing Contractors (Mark Braker) to anyone. He fixed our rainwater pipes, soffit and replaced our Dormer broken tiles in a day and provided us with a competitive quote. He wasn’t only professional and courteous, he showed a great sense of humour too. Thanks my man for remaining patient and getting the job done.
