My name is Rod Johnson and I'm the owner of Academy Flooring Services, Thanks for looking at our page, I have three excellent teams trained and qualified to undertake your requirements.
I have over 20 years of experience in the flooring industry and specialise in all types of wood floor restoration from Reclaimed floorboards to parquet flooring.
I deal with all types of wood floor colouring which ranges from bespoke dyeing to coloured oiling using a multitude of different methods and techniques to acheive the optimum finish at an affordable cost.
We can also provide Damp proof membranes, Latex screeding, structural work including joist repairs and replacement. We also supply and fit skirting, beading and concrete fireplace hearth removal.
We also offer competative rates for reclaimed pine floorboards supplied and fitted if required.

Sanding and staining living room and bedroom
Rod and his team were fab. They did exactly what they said they would do and that's rare. My living room floor is just gorgeous, I could not be happier. Big shout out to Harry in the team, so friendly and helpful. The whole team genuinely cared about the result and that I was happy.
Plastering whole house and sanding and varnishing wooden floors downstairs
Rod's team managed the job efficiently and cleaned up after each day and when they had finally finished. We are very pleased with the work.
Refurbished our bedroom, including plastering, plumbing, new skirting and sanding/staining floors
Rod and his team refurbished our bedroom. It hadn't been touched for around fifteen years and we asked them to re-skim the walls, install new skirting, move radiators and sand/fill/stain/finish our wooden floors. It's an old Victorian house that has moved quite a lot so it wasn't a straightforward job. Rod has very communicative throughout, explaining what needed to be done (and why). His team were very polite. They did a great job and completely cleaned up after themselves. We are really happy with the work.

Sanding wooden floor boards and filling gaps
I was really impressed with the work carried out. They were very thorough and replaced any floor boards that werent up to scratch. Gaps were filled and floor varnished. My floor has been very much admired. I will definitely be using them in the future.
