    Thank you James and team

    Posted 19 November 2025

We have a Victrorian house with steps/stone leading up to our front door and some along the side of the house. This has been leaking badly into our basement area/old coal hole. . James and team installed a French Drain; dug out and repointed our side wall; replaced and relaid the stone and steps; installed new air vents and made good interior plasterwork that was very damp. Work completed over a month ago and the good news is that there are no signs of water getting into our basement area. And the stone work looks great. Thank you James an team!

    Surgical Tile Replacement

    Posted 09 March 2025

Recently we had some work done in our house. We had some tumbled marble tiles put down in the hall (on top of a wet underfloor heating system!!!). We became aware of a tile that had been severely scratched by the builder. James was surgeon like in his approach and despite the removal being fairly physical, he had the utmost respect for our property and minimising the mess. It is such an invisible repair and my underfloor heating system was left fully in tact. Thanks James for a professional job!

    Period property brick restoration

    Posted 09 March 2025

I recently moved into an 1860 house. It is a beautiful house but had been abused over the years. Cement used in the brickwork and plastering and modern exterior paint (causing damp). I am a chartered engineer and know the importance of specifying the correct materials. For my recent remodel, I spent a lot of time on this. The damp is gone and house transformed. I can’t overstate the importance of using someone who has this appreciation. James is this guy. He recently surgically repaired the corner of my house (paint removal/brick repair). He knows his stuff!!!

    Stone fireplace restoration

    Posted 07 March 2025

James surpassed all of my expectations — he is a true craftsman who clearly enjoys and takes pride in his work. The job turned out to be more challenging than we originally thought, but James was unfazed by this, spending the extra time required to get a superb finish. He completely transformed my fireplaces. One of them had partially collapsed, and he somehow managed to restore it to its original beauty — they are both stunning. He is polite, punctual and was a pleasure to deal with throughout the process. Just make sure you have plenty of oat milk.
