    Stair banister modification

    Removal of existing banister arrangement to allow cladding of existing newel posts and fitting new hand rail and glass panels, all work carried out in a professional and tidy manner.

    Replacement of heritage windows, and invisible repairs to barn and stable doorsdoi

    Keith was creative in helping repair and replace external woodwork and windows. His warm and helpful approach felt like he was 'partnering' with us to care for our newly purchased grade II listed home. When we added a extra job at short notice, he was flexible and prompt. Would definitely call Keith for any future wood or kitchen jobs. Thank you Anne and Ray

    Wanted estimate

    Contacted Acorn for estimate for work that I would like doing. Sounded nice and helpful and promising but still waiting on estimate. Want work done this year so a little disappointed

    Removal of faulty staircase Manufacturing and installation of brand new staircase

    My staircase was faulty and in a state of disrepair. Keith visited my property to diagnose the problem and measure up for the manufacture of a brand new replacement. On August 2nd, he and his colleague (Michael) arrived at my home. Within 4 hours they had deconstructed my existing staircase, cleared the area and expertly installed the new replacement. The craftsmanship of the new staircase is superb and the installation was carried out with minimum fuss and disruption. I'm delighted and can't thank him enough. A thoroughly professional job by 2 excellent guys I highly recommend Acorn.

My name is Keith Copping and I am the proprietor of Acorn Joinery and Kitchens Ltd.

I have been working at the company since 2002. I was employed as a manager in the first instance. In 2013 I purchased the company from the owners.

I have been in the woodwork trade since leaving school. That gives me around 30 years’ experience in the trade. I trained as a cabinet maker when I left school and after finishing my training, I was employed by a kitchen manufacturing company. I stayed with that company, gaining kitchen manufacturing expertise for 13 years before being employed at Acorn as the manager.

I employ 4 staff in the workshop who are all more than competent in manufacturing bespoke joinery products which include, windows, doors, staircases, kitchens, bedrooms amongst other things. If it is made of wood, please feel free to contact us to find out if we can manufacture it for you.

Myself and my employees take pride in our workmanship. Quality of our finished products is key to our success in the field. We all take pride in our work and there is nothing better for us than happy customers once their item is fitted.

We do not sub contract fitters, this is all carried out by ourselves.
