Bespoke Curtain rail fixed up and door adjustment
Shaun was impeccably polite and thorough. It was a tricky job, which he managed to navigate with patience and a cool head. He communicated really well in the lead up and during the job. I’d say his price was higher than I’d usually pay but with a distance to travel, and an unknown element to how long it would take, I was happy to pay. Reinstating commercial property door
Shaun is an amazingly helpful and skilled craftsman who took on the challenge of solving the mechanics of my aluminium cafe door which had unhinged itself. He repaired it the same day and was flexible with timings (coming back after we closed in the evening) so as not to disrupt my trade that day. Reliable, thorough, intelligent and with integrity. In 1997 I qualified as a boat builder at the IBTC college Oulton Broad Suffolk where I achieved Many Qualifications including carpentry Joinery city and guilds and the the College Boatbuilding course DIPLOMA .
I used to run a small joinery workshop. mainly building Mdf wardrobes and bespoke furniture for the London Market in South Walsham Norfolk. When that was sold I went and worked for a boat yard fitting out prestigious Million £ Oyster luxury sailing yachts to an exceptionally high standard
My main task there was fitting out the main saloon areas from an empty fiberglass shell, to completed /finished cabin ready for purchase. The finishes ranged mainly from Oak, Cherry and Maple.
I worked over in Guernsey fitting out pilot cutters for a while around 911then came back to London.
I worked for various agencies including house maintenance and the larger companies such as Redrow doing joinery and snagging works.
I also worked for various companies on a self employed basis including bench joinery and fitting bespoke furniture.
I have had stints of work as a site agent and familiar with reading architects drawings.
We moved up to Cambridgeshire where my son was born. He went to School in Cambridge for a while and then moved School to Strathallen near Perth.
So now I am a joiner based in Scotland working between Edinburgh ,Perth ,Glasgow and Dundee areas
I am also on other tradesman sites and have many 5 star genuine ratings.
No job is too small for me within reason.
I will tackle half day jobs / to whole day jobs depending on what's required.
For me upfront clarity and honesty is essential from beginning to end of any project whether large or small.
