The work was sub-contracted. The original problem with a leak not soved. On a follow-up visit the sub-contractor suggested major extra work without appearing to identify the problem. I then contacted another who identified a possible cause of the leak. He also found poor workmanship with the work which had been carried out including a hole in and overlapping instead of welding two lengths of lead in the new valley gutter, damage to the gable end of the valley, incorrect reinstallinment of the tiles and some damaged tiles put back.

Rob first quoted £1,200 to fix the leak, then increased it to £3,000 because he needs to remove and replace 5 meters timber. He worked on the front roof, but the leak was on the back. Not only did he work on the wrong area, he did not fix the leak, worked on 2 meters only and didn't replace the timbers. After sending him pictures and explain his error, he said he will come back and fixed it on January 14. He offered to replace all tiles on front and back roof but it was found the leak is not to do with tiles. 4 weeks after, he hasn't return my money and has not even come to have a look.

I had my roof inspected by the entire team. I was given correct advice and given guidelines as to how works must proceed. Great job overall and would highly recommend
