First quote was for stripping down the wallpaper trough out the whole house,3bedrooms,kitchen,landing,corridor,staircase,living room, dining room;wallpaper on all walls and also ceilings. The second quot was for skimming all walls and ceilings(to mention the property hasn’t been refreshed for the past 17 years ,he said he knows that we gave him a good price) Once the wallpaper was off and and we both realised that it’s not a case of skimming anymore as the walls were literally crumbling and falling down once the wallpaper was off,the 3rd quote was to drywall the whole house and get rid off all rubble, again he didn’t want to get another quote. We got to the point where the only room that was left stripping to the brick was the living room and 90% of the rubble was removed from the property. Then, myself and my brother had some personal things that we needed to take care of and we had to take 2 weeks off.The client couldn’t wait that long and he looked for someone else to finish the job, unfortunately I couldn’t find someone and probably he didn’t find anyone either that’s why his feedback I imagine. The invoice for the work we did it’s still unpaid.
