I engaged ARA Carpentry & Building to lay laminate flooring, replace skirting boards and decorate, expecting a professional finish based on their reviews. Unfortunately, the standard of work was poor. The flooring did not fit properly under the skirting in places, the painting was untidy with paint left on the skirting boards, electrical fittings were not put back correctly, and the job was not completed as agreed. To be fair, they did return to fix some issues, but I will still need to pay someone else to complete and correct the work, which is disappointing and costly.

Alan provided a swift response to my initial request . After discussion the quote came through quickly and was very fair. communication was excellent throughout l. Alan arrived on time and worked cleanly tidied up after himself. His workmanship looks great would recommend and will use Alan for any future works we have.

ARA did a great job removing our structural wall and plastering around a beam. Tidy workers and efficient communication. I highly recommend them to others, and will certainly be contacting again for future works

This is the third project Alan has completed for me and I couldn’t be more pleased with the result! I had an awful old porch which he demolished and has now built a fab new brick one. He also had the roofer, plumber and electrician well organised to do their bit when required too. The work also entailed removing ann inner concrete steps, putting in a new concrete floor and expert moving of gas pipes. Alan’s work is to an extremely high standard and he always listens and delivers for the customer. So many of my neighbours have said what an excellent job he has done and I highly recommend him!
