  Loft conversion and middle floor refurb

  Rick, Tom and the team did a very solid converting our loft and refurbishing the middle floor. We are very happy with the new cosy space that they created. I’m grateful for their advice and supplier recommendations of bathroom items, flooring and wardrobes. Will definitely use again.

  Parapet and coping stones repair, general painting and repairs

  Highly recommended. Great job, well priced, and really good communication from Rick and Tom. They found issues with our roof that were genuine and urgently needed fixing that our buyer's survey missed, and repaired them quickly and effectively. A great local company!

  After a leak destroyed our flat, Ashcroft came in and removed and replaced everything for us to an incredible standard. They made the process as easy as possible for us going above and beyond. All the builders were very professional and accommodating. Would 100% recommend!

  Refurbishment of dilapidated flat

  From the initial contact to the resolution of the final snagging list it was a pleasure dealing with Ashcourt Builders. At the outset the quote provided was detailed and when further expenses arose, because I requested additional work, I was quickly provided with new costings. Once the work started, everyone was focused and organised and the renovation proceeded rapidly. The flat was left tidy with all tools packed away at the end of each working day. As with any building projects there were unexpected problems but Richard and Tom always managed to find a solution. Now the flat is lovely.

  Very bad communication

  We were speaking to Ashcourt about a quote, they had visited 3 or 4 times to discuss the work and had several phone calls. When we were about to sign the contract when Ashcourt stopped picking up our calls and replying to our emails. We waited a couple of weeks giving them an opportunity to respond before giving up and re-tendering with a different company. If they no longer wished to take up the contract all they had to do was call or answer our emails. It would have been far more polite than simply refusing to talk to us.

  We're sorry to hear you were dissatisfied with our service as we take communication with our customers as seriously as our standard of work, which as you can see from our reviews is always of the highest order. We did visit the site 3 or 4 times times and communicate over the phone, but the works and the budget changed several times and we felt we couldn't carry out the works within the new parameters. I was off sick and asked my partner to communicate the fact that we would be withdrawing from the tender process. If at this point there was a breakdown in communication from our side then I can only apologise as we are always careful to keep customers informed. We were told by Checkatrade that you were willing to speak to us to clear up the misunderstanding but unfortunately after many calls and texts, no calls were answered or texts returned. We always strive to better our customer service and will use this review as a learning experience.

  Loft Conversion, Single Storey Rear In-Fill Extension and full house renovation

  Richard, Tom and their team did an excellent work of renovating our house. They are all experienced, polite, punctual and helpful. Their quote is reasonable, always provided us different ideas and quick problem solving on all issues during the project. We are happy and very satisfied of their service and result, highly recommend them. Thank you so much!
