I contacted checkatrade on Tuesday, Steve rang me within a couple of hours. Quoted for job and carried out work on Thursday. Very clean work ethic, punctual. Excellent advice and honest opinion. Explained the testing of the alarms very well. Have stored his details on my phone and wouldn't hesitate to use him again for any electrical jobs. Well done Steve.

Quick, professional and excellently priced!

When I asked him see what could be causing one of a pair of G9 Edison bulbs suddenly to start blowing every time I replaced it, Steve Hyde suggested it might save money simply to replace the fitting, seeing how the cause could be unrepairable. I chose to have him check it out. Thankfully, he knew is onions and discerned the cause to be deformation through repeated replacements resulting in the bulb shorting between tip and threaded section. Giving the fitting a tweak resolved the problem for the price of a call-out. Definitely value for money.

Steve is a very skilled electrician helpful honest and thoughtful advised us at every stage and his housekeeping is excellent would highly recommend his services
