    Re wire of a house.

    Callum was fantastic from start to finish. Communication was great throughout – he kept me updated, explained things clearly, and was always quick to respond. He’s really knowledgeable and clearly knows his stuff, which gave me a lot of confidence. He arrived exactly when he said he would, worked efficiently, and left everything clean and tidy. It’s refreshing to find someone so reliable and professional. Would definitely recommend and use again!

    Rewiring of whole property. Installation of new radiators. Installation of lights etc

    Callum did a great job. Very competitive quote. Easy to communicate with, very helpful with advice. Overcame unforseen issues with ease. Worked late on multiple occasions to get the house ready on the previously agreed date. Would definitely recommend 👌

    External Power & Lighting

    Having only recently moved into the area, we had no contacts at all within the various trades. We needed external power & lighting both front and back of the house. How delighted was I when we discovered that Avalon Electricals was just on our doorstep. A phone call brought Callum across for a viewing and we immediately warmed to him. He is so helpful and full of ideas so by the time he left, we had both front and back planned out. The quote seemed fair and a day/time agreed for him to start. He was prompt, polite, efficient and clean & tidy throughout. FULLY RECOMMENDED

Hello, my name is Callum Child (Rewire Specialist) and I live in Burtle, near Glastonbury and Bridgwater, and I am Avalon Electricals.

I started my business in January 2019 after 8 years of full-time employment with a successful local electrical company called Wessex Electricals in Shaftesbury Dorset. I am a fully qualified NICEIC & Part P Electrician after completing a City&Guilds apprenticeship, during which I was successful in the National Sparks Apprentice of the Year Competition.

I have Testing and Inspecting Qualifications with lots of experience and regularly complete:


  • Full electrical rewires.
  • Electrical safety checks.
  • Electrical Installation Condition Reports EICR.
  • Replacement Fuseboards


I specialise in domestic house rewires. With my team behind me we can meet amazing timeframes and targets, meaning much less disruption and downtime for my customers and still delivering fantastic results. From preparing the house with furniture moving, sheeting and floor protection, to fully plastering everything back in, we love to do rewires! With many years’ experience performing electrical safety test and inspections on housing contracts, we aim to deliver here too. A full EICR electrical installation condition report is produced and sent to you soon after the testing is complete, with recommendations for improvements such as replacement fuseboards which we also specialise in. I take great pride in my work striving to do that bit extra to achieve a really high standard, alongside good health and safety. My customers are really important to me and I enjoy working for them.
