We selected Avant Garde Damp Solutions via Checkatrade for a problem with an internal wall 9 years ago. We found Ben's clear analysis of the problem and the possible solutions very helpful and proceeded with the work which was done to a high standard and the problem has remained successfully resolved. When a new damp problem arose in another part of the house Avant Garde was my immediate choice and another issue successfully fixed. Recently a blocked gutter caused a new emergency. Ben sent one of his team who was able to diagnose and fix the same day.

Ben and his team did a brilliant job plastering the basement following a rewire. They made sure that dust was kept to a minimum and did an excellent job of arriving when he said which a lot of trades struggle to do.

We required exterior and interior damp proofing, plus some interior plastering in our old house. Avant Garde Damp Solutions provided a breakdown of the overall cost, and we had to pay a 30% commission fee on the invoice. That done, Avant Garde carried out the work a day past the agreed start date due to other commitments, but completed it more quickly than we expected. We felt they'd saved a corner of our house from rotting, which is obviously a win for us. I would certainly use them again.

We only did a survey so far but that is impressively clear and comprehensive. I like that as well as giving solutions and costs for immediate issues, it also offers suggestions longer term fixes, and gives advice on how to avoid things like condensation. No one else I spoke to did that. Other companies gave a quote for the current problem and that was it. Avant Garde gave suggestions for how to avoid problems in the future as well. When I spoke to Ben on the phone he was friendly and clear and happy to explain things. Highly recommended.

Ben's team did damp remediation work and re-plastered some walls. They were professional, punctual, and did a great job.
