Insulating porch ceiling
Jonathan was asked to insulate the porch ceiling as the porch is open and the bedroom directly above is very cold in the winter and very hot in the summer. He inserted 100mm loft insulation and covered with ordinary plasterboard. I asked him on three occasions over the next year, if he would replace the plasterboard with insulating plasterboard, as the work had made no difference and I paid quite a lot of money for this work. He refused point blank to help. Beware if you have any issues with this carpenter!Verified reviewerJob location: SO154.5 General Carpentry

Porch ceiling insulation
Jonathan was asked to insulate the porch ceiling (whilst doing other work at my house). The porch is open and the bedroom above gets very cold in the winter and very hot in the summer. Jonathan placed 100mm insulation above the porch ceiling and placed ordinary plasterboard over. This made little to no difference despite being charged £400. I asked at least twice over the following year if he could please return and overlay insulated plasterboard. He refused point blank. It would have only required a small amount of time and materials. Fitting doors and latches
I cannot say enough good things about Baybridge Joinery. Jon did a fantastic job. He was courteous, efficient, professional, tidy and thoughtful. He hung eight new doors for us and installed the latches and WC locks. He problem solved the doorknobs we'd chosen which had an extra spring making them too stiff for our children to open. He worked out how to remove the extra spring so we didn't have the faff of choosing new knobs and sending back/reordering. He tidied up at the end of each day, looked after our new carpets and was so friendly. Thank you. 10/10 would use again. DuncanVerified reviewerJob location: SO5310 Built In Furniture

Handrails for stairs
We recently asked for further hand rails to be fitted on our stairs to help with my wife’s disability and increasing difficulty in going up stairs. These were to compliment our existing hand rails fitted by Jonathan serveral years ago. We were extremely impressed by what was fitted. Following ou request Jonathan came and advised us on what would be suitable . In due course he came on the day and time agreed. Again his quality of workmanship and materials was of the highest quality and standard. Everything was left neat and tidy. Excellent work and service. Highly recommended.Verified reviewerJob location: SO30
