Took a substantial deposit from us but failed to carry out the agreed-upon work. We then spent weeks chasing him for our money back, during which he missed consecutive promised payment deadlines. His tools were held securely solely because he failed to return our deposit, a precaution we logged with the police via 101 for safety. We immediately arranged a safe, contactless collection the moment our funds finally cleared. The deposit was only returned under the threat of a formal Letter Before Action. We wanted to share this experience to ensure future customers are fully informed.

This isn’t the full story.
I’m a hard working trustworthy person they had my tools and I wasn’t able to work and I still tried to keep it amicable with no support from Checkatrade to there paying customer still not even a phone call just these lies regarding my 15 year old business still I returned there deposit in full even when I was legally entitled to charge for the days work I did. I do take criticism on board and will take and learn from this bad experience but please read my other other reviews one bad customer in 15 years I think is still a business to be proud of.
