  To repair 2 dents/chips in an oak Welsh Dresser

  Joe was brilliant. Excellent communication prior to booking in the repair and very reasonably priced as the furniture was being donated to a charity shop. He did an amazing job on the repair, such that I couldn’t tell where the damage had been. Very pleased with the result and the charity shop were very pleased with the furniture too, when they collected it later.

  Restoring an antique kitchen table

  We have a large but rather battered antique kitchen table. They did a really good job of making it look the best it can be again. They did well at every stage. Very open to answering our novice questions by email. Gave a good outline of what they would do, then turned up on time and did it :-) I think they are possibly more used to dealing with high-end furniture but they showed great care and attention in our less-than-high-end table. In particular, they worked with us to get the colour just how we wanted it.

  French polishing 4 big rooms

  John and Joe were recommended to me by a good friend. Our bloody dog peed on our lovely wooden floors across 4 different big rooms. Marks everywhere and trashed them. John and Joe came and spent a day sorting it all out and they look brand new. So chuffed and very reasonably priced. We left them in the house due to work commitments having never met them and they were amazing. Brilliant craftsmanship, honest, lovely guy who I can’t recommend enough. They’ll be getting another call no doubt to do the same again in a year or so 😎

  stripping and removing burn and water marks from a table and leaves

  They responded quickly to the request, came a few days later, on time. Worked quickly and efficiently explaining as they went and checking with me. Tidied up well. very pleasant to deal with would recommend.

  Bishops completed a door veneer repair on our 3rd floor main entrance door.

  Bishops French polishers staff were polite, courteous and very professional. Their work was completed to a very high standard and we will definitely be using their services again should we ever require them
