When challenged advised they would install and wait in the apartment until payment had been transferred leaving no choice but to pay to get them to leave. Following inspection, found they did not install in accordance with British Standards and blinds were not safe. When challenged by message and call they have ignored the request to remedy. Also, ignoring requests to provide VAT Registration Number.

We are sorry you feel this way. Due to you being away from the building and in another country we advised we had to take the payment upfront before the fitters got to the building or apartment. This is standard procedure when tenant is away from the building or in another country. We changed the terms of payment when we learnt this information. You got very defensive and angry so we agreed for you to pay after the job was complete. Even then you made the fitter show you proof of fitting ie pictures of rooms, before making the payment. The fitter was going to fit the safety units but the tenants advised it looked silly and because they was staying and renting the property that they would catch and trip over the metal chains so they advised not to put them on. nevertheless the job was complete to a high standard.
