Having removed the existing chimeny and fireplace, Jason recommended some Nero Zimbabwe granite from Landford Stone for the new hearth. It looks absolutely fantastic with the log burner on it, really classy. Jason and Abigail did a really good job of re-installing the woodburner, didn't leave any mess and were very courteous and polite to deal with. I have no hesitation in recommending Burnwood Chimneys for chimney / fireplace work. Jason is skilled in demolition (no damage when the stone chimney was dismantled!), roofing, bricklaying, plastering, making good the ceiling around the new breast.

We had old stone fireplaces removed and one chimney closed and a log burner installed in the other. Jason carried out the whole job from start to finish, removing all the waste and rendering the chimneys etc. He tested and HETAS certified it all. He went above and beyond to collect our mantle which was stuck at the delivery depot too!

I engaged Jason to dismantle the Portland stone chimney and fix the damp problem for good. By then the stone chimney breast was damp, stained with tar and was dark and opporessive so we took the decision to remove the chimney breast and completely rebuild it around the multi-fuel burner. Jason and Abigail did a fantastic job internally and externally, were a pleasure to work with and I am looking forward to them returning soon to install the hearth.
