Avoid at all costs! The alarm bells began to ring when I asked Bob to provide me with an itemised quote for the works and he couldn’t do it. He made a number of mistakes along the way, he installed most of the sockets upside down and back to front, he also placed sockets wherever he wanted, this was despite being provided with a detailed floor plan of all sockets and lights. He’s overcharged me for work and I’ve had to take him to court to get my money back, he’s still yet to return to fix a faulty boiler he installed. Rouge trader

Dear Customer, we were contracted for re-wiring of the property and installation of a new boiler and heating system. You have agreed to our quotation for £9500 and instructed us. You have subsequently changed your mind about some of the works and were issued a refund of £157, at no point did we over-charge you. Furthermore, we have returned to your property before Christmas, despite the pandemic, to complete all the works you have additionally requested. You said you were satisfied with the final works during our visit.
It is sad to hear that you are unhappy with a brand-new boiler, radiators, and electrical installation in your home. We have done our utmost to satisfy your requests and have done our work to the highest standards and according to electrical and Gas Safe regulations. We have issued you with a certificate of electrical compliance. It is impossible to install sockets back to front or upside down. I am NICEIC qualified and have inspected all installations prior to issuing the compliance certificate.
We have installed a new Vaillant boiler, covered by a 10-year manufacturer warranty. Please contact the manufacturer as we do not produce the appliances, we install them.
