    Replacing felt roofing on flat roof

    Previous work by local tradesman was very poor and David and his team helped to right a wrong. David replaced the felt on our roof as well as replaced a sky light window. It’s been about 5/6 weeks since the work was completed and so far very happy with the work with no leaks

    Bay window structure damage

    Felt roof works by BVE in November 2023 have resulted in the roof structure dropping and sloping forward and putting pressure on the large upvc bay window frame below, which is now supporting its weight. After unsuccessfully trying to get David to come and assess the damage in December 2023 we are now waiting for an independent assessor to survey the damage, which we consider potentially dangerous.

    This customer as made up this entire situation and as lied about the bay window. Because thay want money back for a roof which is 100% watertight, it’s a shame there are people like this in the world but unfortunately there is. A surveyor has been out to the property and found no defects as a result of my workmanship.

    Flat Felt Roof

    Highly recommend David a roofer who knows his trade . Over come a difficult roof for us in the end and still kept within our budget . Finally a roofer we can trust and will have no hesitation in using again for any roofing needs .

    Leak not fixed

    Called BVE Roofing. The property had a leak, a bedroom ceiling had a wet patch but we did not know where it was coming from. Spoke to David, who assured me he would come and have a look; he did within a few days. I was told "I've looked at roof not good. It needs new ridge to top and dividing ridge either side". He quoted £1930 and advised a guarantee for 10 years. Just a week later it was still leaking. He came back eventually, but after heavy rain its just as bad as before I called him and had the so called repair done. So nearly £2k lighter with same issue.

    This is unfortunate this has happened we have been trying to get back there but because of bad weather and Ill health I have not. The roof was in a much worse condition once we started our repair and advised a new roof, but they did not want to this. Please see my previous good reviews

    Flat felt roof works

    On 29.11.23, a 0.9m x 2.7m section on a bay window was replaced. Further inspection revealed the board needed replacing at an additional £100 cost. Dave apologised it wasn't identified during the quote. During works, I flagged concerns the ceiling under the bay roof had sloped forward, with new cracks in adjoining walls. Dave felt it was safe to continue working on top of the roof and completed the job. On 30.11.23, two small areas of soft 25mm board on a 1.8m x 2.8m garage roof were replaced with 18mm OSB. The level was built up to flat with felt before the 3-layer system installation.
