  2 storey rear extension (12.5m x 3m) internal alterations, new kitchen, 3x bathrooms,

  House extension/renovation project is approx. One fifth of the way through: 26 working days with C2 D&B. The team are hard working and very helpful in accommodating our needs as we are living in the house alongside the works, which is never an easy thing. Site/build leader, Mike, is brilliant, he answers our questions (we have many) and is happy to rectify snags along the way. We have excellent communication lines with project manager, Jason, we appreciated the detailed costings and clear scope of work. Early days, but happy with progress, and hope project continues on this trajectory :))

  Kitchen / windows and Doors

  Very bad experience with this company, several jobs started, paid for in full by myself and never completed, Builder removed goods I had paid for from my property to use in his own home without my permission. Deposits paid well in advance for items still not received - 8 months and still waiting. Bad attitude, rude and arrogant, refuses to communicate, sends threatening messages. Extremely high turn over of staff due to the way he treats them - never a good sign, 3 roofers in 5 months. Adds additional monies to invoices without prior agreement.

  • Customer apparently ripped off by previous builder for over £100,000 (how could he possibly fall for the same again I ask myself) • Removed goods – Correct, 2 bags of plaster (£11.56),due to national shortage they have been replaced. £1700 materials bill still outstanding. So, in fact the plaster isn’t even his!! • Deposits paid, items not delivered – Correct. Lantern not been paid for in full so unable to deliver. Glass on site. Bifolds on site • Bad attitude, rude and arrogant. Call previous customers and ask them • Staff treated badly. Wow!! • Are we not allowed to send a different person to do odd snagging? • Adds additional monies to invoices – Please let me know which ones, again put them on Check A Trade. • See all other reviews. 99% of our work is in Stortford so not hard to view and speak to any of our old or new customers, just ask and I’ll give you contact details. • Requested customer comes to my office to discuss but declines and makes complaint to police. Anyone who knows us will obviously see through these ridiculous opinions that carry very little truth. Happy to discuss in person with any potential customers etc

  Shop converted into office.

  Fantastic work and so professional. Any changes we made they were sorted out and done with no fuss and no need for further instruction. Kept me informed of all the stages of the work and I would thoroughly recommend. Very high standar of work.

  Porch extension (including demolition of the existing porch), new windows and front door, and steel beam

  We came to Jay with planning permission already approved as well as structural engineer's drawings. We decided to choose C2 Design and Build because Jay was very approachable, friendly, keen to help and share his knowledge/advice, trustworthy, flexible, experienced and had good and prompt communication. All that proved true. The builders arrived like clockwork, were happy to make any changes requested, and kept things tidy. Jay also managed everything with building control and the window and door suppliers. We're really pleased with the end result and would highly recommend and use again!!

  Loft conversion

  We were very happy with the work. Suggested changes to the original plan created a more spacious, light filled room. The builders were very competent, helpful and courteous. I would have every confidence in recommending this firm to prospective clients.
