Booked sweep several weeks ago. Received confirmation text and email. A week before appointment, received a text at 9am on sat morning to ask to rearrange as he wanted to get car serviced. I text back and said this was fine and offered ANY Thursday or Friday going forward (note - the original booking was on a Friday). Received a cancellation email stating 'Too far from Bath. No response to text messages regarding the surcharge. Appointment cancelled’ This email was sent 23 MINUTES after he sent text message. Paul initially came out to survey the chimney during our purchase of the house. Great report including photos. After completion he came back to sweep. Great communication, on time, polite, and so clean you wouldn’t know he had been. Gave us good advice and recommended a roofer to sort a few minor issues. Overall fantastic! Has Captain Sweep over today to service our double sided wood burner. He was on time, pleasant and professional, tidy, left no mess, cleaned the burner glass amazing and it was completed quickly. Captain Sweep came to sweep 4 chimneys in my new home. The drone went up to check my chimneys (all good), all the chimneys were then swept with no issues, the captain kindly took out bin bags stuffed with cushions that had been rammed up the chimneys and removed dead birds and all sorts that were above them. I now have 4 fully working chimneys and looking forward to cosy fires throughout winter. Arrived on time, excellent communication, everything left super clean, kind recommendations for new wood burner and log supplies and general advice on how to use my fires efficiently and safely.Verified reviewerJob location: BA1
